Spirit of the Marathon: the book of Spirit of the Marathon II, the movie - and more
Coming soon, a new book by Roger Robinson, a tie-in with the stunning 2013 feature film, "Spirit of the Marathon II". The book amplifies the film's characters, narrative, setting (Rome!) and main themes. There's important new material on the running boom and women's running, colorful background on how the movie was made, runners-eye stories of running the Rome Marathon, and new portraits of all the running celebrities who appear in interviews (Paula Radcliffe, Jeff Galloway, Grete Waitz, Bill Rodgers and many more). Richly illustrated and beautifully designed, the book is sized to fit with the DVD of the film. Publication date will be when the DVD is released, probably early in 2014.
